I painted Maisie who lives in the Flicka Foundation near Falmouth a few years ago now. I love the donkey’s at Flicka and it is well worth a visit if you haven’t been before. I used my favourite Unison pastels to paint her on velour paper which is has a lovely soft velvet texture to it and is great for painting animal portraits.
