How to order

To commission a portrait, simply send me a clear image of your pet either by post or as an email attachment.  Better still, send a selection of images, including details of their best expressions, colours etc.  If you would like several animals together, they can all be separate photos. A clear image of the pet(s) is the first step to capturing a good likeness.  All photos will be returned upon completion of the portrait. Waiting times can vary depending upon workload – an approximate completion date will be given at the time of ordering. A deposit of £30.00 on all orders – to secure booking.  Once completed, I will send you a photo of the portrait either by email, before the remainder of the payment is required before dispatch.

Postage & Packing

Pastel portraits are carefully flat packed using foam board to protect the surfaces.  Unframed prints are packed in cardboard tubes. All portraits are sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery

Useful Tips of taking photographs of your pets

  • Set your digital camera to its highest resolution / best quality image possible
  • Photograph outside if possible, in good light without a flash
  • A dull day is better than a bright sunny day.  This will avoid unnecessary shadows
  • Take the picture at their eye level, the eyes are the most important part – different angles eg:- side profile, three quarter view and straight on
  • Use a zoom lens if you have one
  • Ask someone to help with toys/treats to get the pets attention so that their head is in the correct position
